Piccola Università Italiana - Tropea - The Italian language school by the sea
The intensive course at our Italian language school is a classic Italian language courses, which can be started every Monday. The intensive course consists of the standard course in mini-groups + 6 private lessons per week.
As in the other Italian language courses, each student takes a written and an oral test on the first morning of the course so his/her level of competence in the Italian language can be defined precisely.
This procedure guarantees the participants of our Italian courses a high efficiency of learning by being placed in one of our 15 language levels according to language competence.
The intensive course at a glance:
- Number of hours:
The intensive course takes place 4 hours daily, 5 days a week in group classes + on 3 days you will have 2 lesson units of each 55 minutes as individual lessons.
- Lesson times:
The Italian lessons take place from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m - 1 p.m or from 4 p.m - 8 p.m and are divided into 4 lesson units of 55 minutes each with a break of 20 minutes.
- Size of groups:
The Intensive course is a classical language course in small groups. The number of participants in each efficiency level is limited from 3 to 6 language course participants.
The 6 weekly units of individual lessons are of course carried out in form of private lessons.
- Lesson content:
The focus of the lessons is on the structure and rules of grammar, practical exercises such as forming sentences, games, quizzes and written texts, expanding vocabulary and idioms, reading texts about various topics of Italian culture, such as cooking, wine, music, cinema, doing roleplays, conversation and practising the different aspects of communication, direct listening and analysis of the different faces and facets of Italy.
For participants at intermediate and advanced levels current newspaper reports are also used. Discussions are held on topics such as art, culture, current affairs, politics and society. Lessons are normally divided into 2 units of grammar and 2 units of conversation, so the language student optimally gets to know and deepens his knowledge in the four pillars of language: speaking, understanding, reading, writing!
Students with individual lessons can choose their topic of focus from: Literature and history, cinema, theatre, music, architecture, sculpture, print and TV, law, economy, politics, Italian opera, commercial Italian for economy, law, finance, tourism, hotel industry, medicine and many more....
Italian intensive courses can be easily combined with a customised Italian course.
Italian intensive courses are also a suitable preparation for officially recognised Italian certificates such as CILS or CELI.
Intensive courses are very efficient language courses for motivated language course participants.
