On the first day of school, all students have to take an oral and written placement test. In the months from April to October the test starts at 8am and in the months from November to March at 9am.

Participants are given 30 minutes to complete the written test. Afterwards a short oral test takes place to which every student is called up individually. After the written and oral tests have taken place, the students have a break til 11am. Shortly after 11am, the group placements are read out.

All students begin with their Italian language lessons on that same day.

Why do I have to take a test on the 1st day of course?

It is of great importance to us here at our Italian language school that our language students complete a language course at the right language level. Very clear basics of grammar are used to determine which of the 15 language levels of competence is right for which student.

Due to our student friendly course regulations, each student is placed in a group at his/her respective level.
