Barcolana 2015
... one of the biggest sailing regattas in the world
Barcolana 2015

 

 

A series of regattas will take place in Trieste from 3 to 11 October 2015, which will culminate the last day on Sunday October 11, with the Barcolana, a historic international sailing regatta held every year since 1969. Also known to be one of the most crowded regattas in the world, with the record achieved in 2001, when 19,68 boats were registered.

On this occasion Trieste turns into a big festival with the Rive near Piazza Unità sprnkled with stalls, stnads and events for adults and children. The Barcolana is also a great opportunity for lovers of photography and stunning scenerey: during this event, in fact, the Gulf of Trieste turns into a unique spectacle, with thousands of boats to admire.
