On the 2nd of June the world-famous Giro d'Italia came to a close in Trieste.
The 156 racers were fittingly received under bright sunlight by a jubilant crowd. Earlier, the public had been energized by aerial demonstrations from the Italian Air Force. The amazement shared by onlookers was incredible. Immediately after the final spurts, it began to rain, but the radiant face of the Colombian winner made up for it.
With a hundred thousand people in the city and live feed available in 170 nations, Trieste got the chance to promote what it has to offer all over the world. A perfect organisation and powerful emotions during this international cycling competition!
