At the end of October starts again the Opera and Ballet season at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste. The Teatro Verdi is one of the most renowned and elegant opera houses in Italy.

This year, the opera season at Verdi includes some historical and crowd-pleaser masterpieces, such as Mozart's Don Giovanni, Massenet's Werther, Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore, Bellini's La Norma, Verdi's Luisa Miller, and not to be missed Rossini's La Cenerentola. 

The building that is home to the theatre was inaugurated in 1801 and its exterior structure was modelled after Milano's La Scala. Initially called Teatro Nuovo (New Theatre), it was renamed after the famous Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi in 1901. It was extensively restored between 1992 and 1997 and re-opened with approximately 1,300 seats... and it is just one minute away from our school!
